Students who qualify have just a week left to apply for the BestColleges 2024 Scholarship for Black Women in STEM. 

The company will award five scholarships in the amount of $6,000 each. 

The scholarship is open to students who intend to enroll or will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university in the United States for the 2024-25 academic year. 

To qualify, applicants must identify as a cisgender, transgender or gender non-conforming Black woman, be pursuing a STEM-related field, be at least 17 years of age and be a legal resident of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia.

To apply, eligible students must write an original essay of no more than 500 words on why they are pursuing a STEM degree and how they will impact the world through their contemplated STEM career.
