Scholarship Summary
The Minority Fellows Program is a fellowship competition for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds applying to or in the early stages of doctoral programs in political science. Each year, APSA awards up to 12 funded fellowships in the amount of $4,000.

Eligibility:
To be considered for a scholarship through the APSA Minority Fellowship Program, candidates must:

Be a member of one of the following racial/ethnic minority groups: African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Latinos/as, and Native Americans.
- Demonstrate an interest in teaching and potential for research in political science.
- Be a U.S. citizen at the time of application.
How to Apply:
- Fill out the online application form, which includes fields for your personal statement, resume, and list of recommenders.
- Submit your official transcript via online, email, or mail from each undergraduate or graduate institution attended. Institutions may send transcripts directly to ASPA (postmarked by November 1.)
- Submit three letters of recommendation via email or mail that can be mailed directly (postmarked by November 1) to ASPA from the recommender or emailed in by the recommender.
- Submit your GRE score report via mail. The APSA ETS code is 3527. Please visit www.ets.org/gre for more information on the GRE exam.
- Official transcripts and letters of recommendations should be emailed to diversityprograms@apsanet.org or mailed (postmarked by November 1) to:
