Today I am here to talk about one of my personal favorite hobbies: shopping! Shopping in Chicago can be a lot of fun, as there are a ton of options ranging from high-end fashion to budget-friendly shops. That being said, here are 4 of the best locations to go to fulfill all of your needs/wants! Each location offers many stores to explore, so plan for a full day (or two) of retail therapy.
Stretching from the Chicago River to Oak Street, this wonderful path features must-see famous stores like Nike, The Apple Store, Gucci, Eli’s Cheesecake Company, Hershey’s, Tiffany & Co, and so much more. Stuffed to the brim with shopping locations, the Mag Mile should be the first (and perhaps final) destination on your shopping tour.
Hosted by the City of Chicago, farmer’s markets are always a great opportunity to try local cuisine and find fresh products. The markets are located throughout the city, and there are places open every day of the week, so that you will always be able to find one near you whenever is most convenient to you.
North of the River features exclusive boutiques and the South side is where you will find all of your favorite discount chains. Explore Macy’s, the second largest department store in the world, and hit up Block 37 for an array of retailers.
The only two-level indoor shopping mall in Chicagoland, the location is complete with over 130 outlets and really does have something for everyone.
