Eligibility:

  • Must be currently attending or planning to attend a college or university during the current academic year.
  • Must be in good academic standing with your current educational institution.
  • Applicants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

How to Apply:

  • In order to participate in the essay contest, applicants must present a 2-3 minute video essay discussing the following issue (Youtube format preferred): According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there was a total of 5,376 pedestrian fatalities in the year of 2015. We often emphasize safety measurements that drivers can take to avoid these accidents, but pedestrians too have the responsibility to keep safety in mind. Based on your research, what are the main causes of pedestrian accidents and what safety measurements can a pedestrian take to help the decline of pedestrian fatalities? 
  • Email your video to scholarships@dolmanlaw.com.
  • Make sure to include your name and the name of the institution you are attending or plan to attend in your email.
