Halfway into the summer with no workout routine started? No worries, it is never too late to get your perfect beach body! If you are in the Miami area you are in luck because I have compiled a list of free or cheap fitness activities to do this summer. What is better than inexpensive and free workout classes? Let’s get ready to hit the beach 😎

Nago Yoga Nago Yoga wants to get rid of the mentality that yoga is too difficult for most  people by offering free classes which encourages anyone to come try it. All are welcome whether you have had years of experience or none at all.

Free Classes:

  • Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, 212 NE 59 Terr. 305-960-2969. Mats are provided and there is live drumming during this class.
  • Saturday 8am (1st Street Beach) Miami Beach. 773-407-7041.

Other Classes:

  • Monday – 8: 00 P.M. – 9: 15 P.M. First Class Free
  • Wednesday – 8: 00 P.M. – 9 : 15 P.M. First Class Free
  • Saturday @ Noon $12

Boot Camp Fitness Classes | Free outdoor classes taught by local veterans using the equipment available at Miami-Dade County Parks 

Free Classes:

  • Gratigny Plateau Park, 885 NW 117 St., Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Greynolds Park, 17530 W Dixie Hwy., Sundays, 9 to 10 am. ($7 parking)
  • Gwen Cherry Park, 7090 NW 22 Ave., Mondays-Fridays, 5-7 p.m.
  • Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40 St., Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9 p.m.
  • North Trail Park, 780 NW 127 Ave., Tuesdays-Fridays, 8-10 a.m.
  •  South Dade Park, 28151 SW 164 Ave., Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Live Like Bella Park, 29305 Illinois Rd., Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to noon

Dharma Studio | This class will be taught by a certified yoga instructor for all levels. Classes will be vinyasa-based and also focused on breathing and relaxation techniques. Nothing will be supplied so you must bring your own mats, water, etc.

Free Classes:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7pm Peacock Park in Coconut Grove

Also: On Saturdays from 8 to 9 a.m. a free family-friendly version of the class is offered at the Mayfair Hotel & Spa rooftop, sponsored by Concierge Realty Brokers

NOTE that classes are cancelled when it rains

Homestead Run Club | All levels of runners are welcome to do a 3.5 mile run (no RSVP required). Water is provided! #hydration
