Applications are open for Kitchen Cabinet Kings’ annual Entrepreneur Scholarship. The company is looking to award one $5,000 scholarship to help an aspiring entrepreneur afford the cost of higher education.
The scholarship is open to any current college student or incoming freshman enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited U.S. college, university or trade school. Those interested must apply before June 30, 2021.
To apply, eligible students must fill out a brief application and submit an essay of no more than 300 words.
Now in its fifth year, the Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship’s mission is to help students focus less on how they will afford tuition and more on developing and pursuing entrepreneurial ideas.
“The rewards for coming up with an innovative idea or solution can be great, but not every entrepreneur gets to see their vision come to life,” said Andrew Saladino, co-founder of Kitchen Cabinet Kings. “We created this scholarship program to give young entrepreneurs a break from the rising cost of education while they focus on creating the businesses of tomorrow.”
Kitchen Cabinet Kings poses a different scholarship essay prompt each year. This year, the company asks applicants to respond to this prompt: “Now that we spend most of our time indoors, please brainstorm two novel ways companies can take advantage of this to improve their business.”
“The winners of our scholarship have all been students who had a unique response to the topic,” said Saladino.
For Saladino, this scholarship hits close to home. Without the generous scholarship that he was awarded as an undergraduate student, he wouldn’t have been able to attend his alma mater New York University.
“The Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship is one of the many ways that we try to help others and give that same opportunity to entrepreneurs,” said Saladino. “I have no doubts that the winners of the scholarship will succeed in whatever they choose after they finish college.”
