Scholarship Summary
For the thousands of college students who enroll in out-of-state schools every year, the thought of moving far away from home can be anxiety inducing. That’s why moveBuddha is calling you to share your moving-to-college story, to help future students! The student who submits the best story will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be spent on tuition, books, or other expenses.

How to Apply:

Write a 500-1,000 word story describing what it was like when you moved to college (out-of-state).

Email your story to scholarship@movebuddha.com. No attachments – put the full story in the body of the email.
Eligibility:
- Must be attending a four-year or two-year accredited college or university as an out of state student.
- 2nd semester freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors and grad students are welcome to submit a story.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Scholarship entries must be submitted no later than 11:59pm (PST) February 1st.
Rules & Regulations:
- Judging – Submissions will be judged on writing quality and style. The most engaging and well written story will awarded the scholarship. The winning entry will be selected by a panel of judges that includes key personnel at moveBuddha.
- Prize – One winner will be selected to receive the prize of $1,000. 1 honorable mention will also be designated, but will not receive monetary prizes. Funds are provided by moveBuddha LLC and payments are issued by moveBuddha LLC, made payable to the student directly to the best mailing address last designated by the student.
