Prysmian Group, an energy and telecom cable systems provider, is accepting applications for its Prysmian Group Women in STEM Scholarship and Prysmian Group Sustainability Scholarship.
For this inaugural year, the company will award a total of $35,000 in scholarships.
The deadline for both scholarships is March 31, 2022.
The Prysmian Group Women in STEM Scholarship
The Prysmian Group Women in STEM Scholarship supports female STEM students in the United States.
“By fostering and encouraging women to pursue careers in engineering and science through STEM scholarship and ongoing mentoring, we can continue as the global leader in the development and manufacture of sustainable power solutions,” said Nikki Slyman, head of People Development, Org Design, & Diversity at Prysmian Group North America.
The company is looking to award $2,500 scholarships to six winners.
The scholarship is open to high school seniors and high school graduates who will be applying to college for the 2022-23 academic year, and current undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited U.S. college or university, who reside in the United States, identify as female, and are pursuing a STEM-related field.
Interested students can apply either by posting on social media or writing a 500-word essay about why they have chosen to pursue a STEM-related field.

The Prysmian Group Sustainability Scholarship
The Prysmian Group Sustainability Scholarship is a scholarship meant for its U.S.- and Canada-based employees and their dependents and grandchildren.
“Prysmian Group is committed to investing in people and providing opportunities and an inclusive environment and culture rooted in sustainability and innovation where employees can thrive and grow within the organization,” Slyman said.
The company will award $1,000 scholarships to 20 winners.
Applicants for this scholarship must be high school seniors and high school graduates who will be applying to college, vocational or technical school for the 2022-23 academic year, as well as current students at a vocational or technical school and two- or four-year college or university in the United States or Canada. They must also meet certain employment requirements.
Those interested can apply for the scholarship either by posting on social media or writing a 500-word essay about which aspect of Prysmian’s sustainability goals they are most passionate about and why.
