Nacon, a leading video game brand, is now accepting applications for its $15,000 RIG Future Academy Scholarship program.

The company will award a $5,000 scholarship to three outstanding students this year.

Nacon, and its gaming accessory brand RIG, launched the program in 2021 to support students in their quest for higher education. 

“The RIG Future Academy scholarship embodies our core values and those of our customers. We firmly believe gaming can enrich our lives, including academics. Through gaming, students of all ages can hone essential skills such as problem-solving, creativity, strategy and teamwork,” Jack Reynolds, president of NACON Gaming, Inc., said in a statement. 

The scholarship is open to high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students in accredited U.S. colleges and universities who reside in the United States.

To apply, students must submit either an essay of at least 300 words, or a two-minute video, describing how gaming has helped them in academics.

Applications are due by October 9, 2023.
