Scholarship Summary
Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology is offering a scholarship (of up to $100,000) to high school students undertaking individual or team research projects.
This is an annual competition. If you missed the deadline for this year, be on the lookout for next year’s scholarship announcement!
Are you a high school student looking to pursue a career in the sciences, mathematics, or anything research-related? Enter this competition for a chance to win up to $100,00 (and also take advantage of the various resources like the Mentor Match)!
Eligibility
The Siemens Competition is open to high school students who are citizens or permanent residents (green card holders) of the United States. Students must be in good standing, enrolled in and attending one of the following (during the school year):
- High school (grades 9-12) in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Wake and Midway Islands, or the Marianas.
- Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) school.
- Foreign school as an exchange student or because your parent or guardian lives and works abroad.
- Homeschool provided that signatures are obtained from the school district responsible for such programs. If your state does not require district supervision, the parent or guardian responsible for the homeschooling must sign it.
- Students must be enrolled in high school (grades 9-12) during the school year.

Deadline
Your Research Report, Abstract and References and all Additional Required Materials must be submitted online by September 20.
Scholarship Awards
College scholarships are awarded to all students who are selected to attend and compete in the regional and national events.

The winners of the individual and team regional awards advance to compete at the national level. The national winners are announced at a special event hosted by the Siemens Foundation in Washington, D.C.

Quick Tips
- Students should be prepared to participate in all aspects of the Competition. This includes being available to attend regional and national levels of the Competition if you are selected as a finalist.
- In order to continue receiving the scholarship, students must be enrolled full-time and making good academic progress toward a degree.
