Do you consider yourself a creative person? Are the arts your passion? Are you currently trying to figure out how to turn this passion into a profitable career? If you’ve answered yes to any (or all) of these questions, I have a scholarship opportunity that may just be perfect for you. The Students of the Arts Scholarship is designed to help creative artsy students who are motivated and passionate the ability to succeed. By writing a short business proposal and creating a video, you can win $1,000 and explore how you can make a business out of the arts.

Write a short business plan explaining how you will turn your artistic passion into a profitable business. Then, create a short video introducing your business. 

Eligibility

• Graduating high school seniors looking to enroll in an arts program
• Any students currently enrolled (full-time or part-time) in an arts program at a college, trade school or university
• No citizenship requirements apply

How to Apply

1. Write a business plan describing in 500-1000 words how you will turn your passion into a business.
2. Create a YouTube (or Vimeo, or other channel) video to introduce your business.
3. Copy/paste the following message as the first line of the description of your YouTube video: www.ModernAbstractDecor.com Students of the Arts scholarship contest submission!
4. Fill out the form here to notify them of your submission.

Additional Information

All submissions must be received every year by August 31. Submissions received after the deadline may be considered for the next year’s scholarship, unless the requirements change. All submissions are received by a panel of judges. The creativity of the business plan as well as the student’s active promotion of their submission will be taken into consideration.

• View content on KickStarter.com for ideas on how real startups are introducing their products.
• Promote your video as much as you can! Get your social media friends to like and share it!
• Although your video doesn’t have to be professional, it should match your artistic vision and represent your best efforts.
• Proofread your business plan and video – no typos allowed!
