With college tuition costs and student loan debt at record highs, students need all the financial help they can get. Luckily, there are many companies and organizations willing to help. There’s a scholarship out there for everyone, no matter where they come from or what they’re interested in.
This week’s round of current and upcoming scholarships includes many niche opportunities, for everyone from women in technology to those with dermatologic conditions.
Dixie Law Group’s Anti-Texting and Driving Scholarship
Applications are now open for Dixie Law Group’s Anti-Texting and Driving Scholarship. To apply, those interested must paint a message on their cars (with washable car paint) that condemns texting and driving. From there, applicants must post a photo of themselves with the painted car and post it on Facebook with the hashtag #donttextanddrive and tag @dixielawgroup.
Although no essay is required, applicants do have to provide proof of enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited college or university.

Exabeam’s Cybersecurity Scholarship Program
The cybersecurity company Exabeam will soon accept applications for its Cybersecurity Scholarship Program. It’s looking to award three high school or college students “who show passion for driving innovative solutions and addressing the cybersecurity challenges of the future.”
To apply, those interested must fill out a brief application including either a 600- to 1,000-word essay or a five-minute video answering one of the company’s prompts regarding cybersecurity issues.
Application Deadline: June 30, 2020 (applications open on March 1, 2020)
Reward: $5,000, $2,000 & $1,000

- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must be currently enrolled (or have been accepted to enroll) in an accredited college or university

Guaranteed Removals Scholarship Program
Guaranteed Removals, an online image management company, is now accepting applications for its Guaranteed Removals Scholarship. The company is looking to award five scholarships to students pursuing a career in criminology, law or computer science.
To apply, those interested must fill out an application form, upload proof of enrollment and submit a 400-word essay on what they plan to do with their degree after graduation.

Eligibility:
- Must be attending (or entering) an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university
- Must be studying either criminology, law or computer science
Ortho Dermatologics’ Aspire Higher Scholarship Program
Ortho Dermatologics, one of the largest prescription dermatology healthcare businesses, has opened applications for its Aspire Higher scholarship program. In total, Ortho Dermatologists will award nine students who’ve been treated for a dermatologic condition.
To apply, those interested must fill out an application that includes a 500-word essay, two letters of recommendation, a signed 2020 medical statement form confirming a dermatologic condition, and proof of application, acceptance or enrollment at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or advanced vocational or technical school.
*The nine awards are split up into three categories. Three awards will go towards those pursuing undergraduate degrees, three more will go towards those pursuing graduate degrees, and the last three awards are reserved for students who are mothers pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees.

Reward: Up to $10,000 per scholarship
Eligibility:
- Must have been diagnosed with and treated for a dermatologic condition
- Must have been treated for a dermatologic condition by a dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner working in a dermatology practice
- Must have used a prescription medicine to treat a dermatologic condition
- Must be a U.S. citizen living in the United States
- Must have applied to, have been accepted to or are currently attending an accredited two- or four-year college, university or advanced vocational or technical school
Spring Surgent Exam Review Student Scholarship
Surgent, a leading company in the field of continuing professional education for financial professionals, is now accepting applications for its Spring Surgent Exam Review Student Scholarship. It is looking to award an undergraduate student majoring in accounting at an accredited U.S. college or university.
To apply, those interested must fill out a brief application, create and submit a short video answering a range of accounting-based questions, and provide a copy of their current transcript.

Reward: $1,500

- Must be studying to become an accountant

The Ship Smart Annual Scholarship
Ship Smart, a California-based packing and shipping company, has opened applications for its Fall 2020 scholarship. The company is looking to award four students pursuing degrees at a two- or four-year college or university, truck driving school, or other logistics program.
To apply, those interested must fill out an application, including a 500-word essay.

VIP, an IT service management company, is now accepting applications for its 13th annual Women In Technology Scholarship Program. VIP is looking to award female students pursuing a career in computer science, information technology (IT), management information systems, or other related disciplines.
To apply, those interested must fill out an application, write an essay consisting of less than 1,500 words, attach a copy of their transcript, and provide proof of community service.

Reward: $2,500 per recipient
Eligibility:
- Must be a female
- Must be either heading towards or currently enrolled at a two- or four-year university or college
