The Houston Museum of Natural Science *** Learn about natural science by traveling through ancient Egypt, the African wilderness, and Earth Forum, among others. Open Monday-Sunday. $15 admission with student ID. 

The Museum of Fine Arts *** Comprising two gallery buildings, two house museums, and a sculpture garden, this museum is stuffed to the brim with things to see. Open Tuesday-Sunday. $13 admission with student ID. 

Holocaust Museum Houston *** Learn more about the dark time period of the Holocaust and its impact on the world. Open 7 days a week. Free admission with student ID.

Contemporary Arts Museum *** Explore modern art work at this unique and interesting museum. Open Tuesday-Sunday. Free admission. 

The Health Museum *** Get an inside look at humanity through exhibits on biology, your body, and your wellbeing. Open Tuesday-Sunday. $9 admission.

The Air Terminal Museum *** Holding an incredible history of airplanes and aviation, this museum is a must-see for those who wish they could fly. Open Tuesday-Sunday. $5 admission. 

Blaffer Art Museum *** The museum, located close to campus, is a vast collection of various art work. Open Tuesday-Saturday. Free admission. 

Battleship Texas State Historic Site *** Come and visit the ‘most significant battleship of the 20th century.’ So go ahead – climb aboard and set sail to a new cultural adventure! Open 7 days a week. $12 for tour. 

The Jung Center *** The nonprofit resource center also features an art gallery with both permanent and rotating exhibits. Open 7 days a week. Free admission. 

The Menil Collection *** A museum of funky and creative art pieces, the Menil will definitely never bore you. Open Wednesday-Sunday. Free admission.
