Rising tuition and college costs have caused student debt in the United States to soar. At this point, national student loan debt has reached nearly $1.6 trillion dollars, surpassing both credit card and auto loan debt. Roughly 70 percent of students have to take out loans to pay for college. And after graduation, the average borrower owes more than $37,000.
So, it’s safe to say students need all the financial help they can get. Luckily, there are many companies and organizations willing to help. There’s a scholarship out there for every student, no matter where they come from or what they’re interested in.
Here are some recently announced scholarships, and a few have upcoming deadlines.
