Do  you play for your company’s softball or dodgeball team?

Eligibility 

• In order to participate, applicants must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited United States college or university in the near future.

How to Apply 

Write a 500-word essay responding to the following question:

If an employee is involved in an activity like a company softball game, a company dodge ball game, or any other company related extracurricular activity with the company and they are hurt, should they be eligible for worker’s compensation? Why or why not?

Applicants should submit their responses as an attachment to zzlscholarship@gmail.com by 06/01/2017 at 9AM PST. In the body of their email, applicants should include:

• Their full name, address, and phone number.
• The name of the educational institution they are attending or plan to attend.
• Their current or proposed course of study.
• Contact information for their parent or guardian, if the applicant is under 18-years-old.

Responses will be evaluated based upon the following criteria:

• The quality of the writing
• Originality
• The thoughtfulness of the response
• The applicant’s demonstrated potential for success in their chosen field of study
