The Asian Pacific Fund offers the Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund for incoming freshmen of at least 50% Filipino heritage enrolled full-time at accredited colleges and universities in the United States. To qualify, students must study one of the following STEM fields: engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental science, or a physical science. Those pursuing degrees toward a career in health or medicine do not qualify. Applicants must also reside in one of the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Yolo, Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego.
Chevron Filipino Employees Network Scholarship – $2,000-$3,000
Offered by the Asian Pacific Fund, the Chevron Filipino Employees Network Scholarship is an annual award offered to Asian or Pacific Islander students in California who are interested in science or engineering. Applicants must be incoming freshmen majoring in engineering, computer science, physical science, or environmental science. Additionally, applicants must be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census, be residents of California, meet a minimum 2.8 GPA requirement, and demonstrate financial need.
Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) – Women in Computer Science – 7,000 Euro
The Generation Google Scholarship for Women in Computer Science (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) is open to women studying computer science in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa. Applicants must submit personal background information, a resume/CV, academic transcripts, a letter of reference, and responses to four short essay questions included in the application.
Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) – Women in Computer Science in Ireland – 5,000 Euro
The Generation Google Scholarship for Women in Computer Science in Ireland is open to women currently enrolled as a first- or second-year undergraduate student in a bachelor’s program at an accredited university in Ireland. Applicants must submit personal background information, a resume/CV, academic transcripts, a letter of reference, and responses to four short essay questions included in the application.
Generation Google Scholarship (North America) – $10,000 (USA), $5,000 (Canada)
Google offers the General Google Scholarship (North America) for students pursuing degrees and careers in computer science and technology. In awarding scholarships, Google considers each student’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; demonstrated leadership; and academic performance. Students from groups that are historically underrepresented in technology are encouraged to apply, including students who are women, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.
Google Lime Scholarship – $10,000 USD (USA), $5,000 CAD (Canada)
Google has partnered with Lime Connect, a nonprofit organization that supports students with disabilities while they pursue education and promising careers, to offer the Google Lime Scholarship to students with disabilities majoring in computer science. The award is 10,000 USD for winning students studying in the United States or 5,000 CAD for those studying in Canada. Applicants must have, or consider themselves to have, a visible or invisible disability (see Lime Connect’s approach to disability); be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university or college for the current academic year; intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university in the United States or Canada for the upcoming academic year; demonstrate a strong academic record; be pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a degree in a closely related technical field; and exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for computer science and technology.
Google Europe Scholarship for Students with Disabilities – 7,000 Euro
Google offers the Google Europe Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. This scholarship is granted to university students with a disability studying computer science, computer engineering, informatics, or a closely related technical field at a university in Europe or Israel. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and may not be employed by Google.
AFCEA DC STEM Scholarships – Varies
Each year, AFCEA Washington, DC awards STEM scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, live within the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (greater DC area), be either graduating from high school or transitioning from a two-year community college to a four-year college or university, and be accepted to a U.S. accredited college or university in a four-year, full-time STEM curriculum. Students whose family members include current members of the military, Veteran, and AFCEA DC chapter members are encouraged to apply.
Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship & Excellence in Education Program – $15,000
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship & Excellence in Education Program, which requires nomination by a Goldwater Campus Representative, provides scholarships to students who wish to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering. Applicants must be full-time, degree-pursuing sophomores or juniors at an accredited 2- or 4-year institution of higher education, plan to pursue a research career in a natural science, mathematics or engineering, have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. To be considered for a nomination for a Goldwater Scholarship by your academic institution, you must first complete and submit a short Student Profile and Pre-application — individual internal campus deadlines fall between early September and late January of each academic year.
Adobe Research Women in Technology Scholarship – $10,000
Each year, Adobe awards its Women in Technology Scholarship to female students interested in computer science. Applicants must identify as female, be currently enrolled as an undergraduate (2nd year or above) or master’s student at a North American university, be majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field, demonstrate leadership and participation in school and community activities, maintain a strong academic record, and not have a relative working for Adobe. Winners also receive a Creative Cloud subscription membership for one year and an opportunity to interview for an internship at Adobe.
Society of Women Engineers Scholarships – $3,250
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) offers scholarships to women studying toward careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. Applicants must identify as a female/woman and be enrolled full-time in an ABET-accredited program. Some non-traditional and re-entry students may qualify as part-time students.
SMART Scholarship for Service Program – $25,000-$38,000
Funded by the Department of Defense, the Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program offers scholarships for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students who are currently pursuing a STEM degree. The program is open to citizens of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom. SMART scholars will receive full tuition, annual stipends, and guaranteed employment with the DoD after graduation.A full list of eligible STEM majors is available on the scholarship website. Applications open on August 1 each year.
Google SVA Scholarship – $10,000
Together, Google and the Student Veteran of America (SVA) offer scholarships to student veterans who are pursuing university degrees in the field of computer science. Applicants must be currently enrolled, or on track to be enrolled, as full-time undergraduate or graduate students at a university in the United States, be of student veteran or active duty status, have received an honorable discharge or are in good standing, maintain good academic performance, and be pursuing a computer science or computer engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field.
Chevron/SWE Scholarship – $5,000
The Chevron Corporation, a multinational energy company, and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), an organization promoting the interests of women in engineering professions, partner to offer a scholarship for female students in various engineering majors. Students at all schools are eligible but preference is given to students at Hispanic-serving institutions and historically black colleges and universities, with an emphasis on: Florida International University (FIU), Prairie View A&M, Tuskegee, North Carolina A&T, and the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
Honeywell International Inc. Scholarship – $5,000
Offered by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Honeywell International Inc. Scholarship is an annual prize awarded to female students interested in engineering. Each applicant must identify as female, be a U.S. citizen, be a SWE member, and meet a minimum 3.5 GPA requirement. Additionally, applicants must be current undergraduate or graduate students studying aeronautical engineering, chemical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or petrochemical engineering at an ABET-accredited institution.
Lockheed Martin SWE Scholarship – $2,000
Offered by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Lockheed Martin Scholarship is an annual prize awarded to female undergraduate students interested in specific fields of engineering. Each applicant must identify as female and be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Additionally, applicants must be U.S. citizens and meet a minimum GPA requirement of 3.0. Preference is given to applicants from underrepresented groups, those who demonstrate financial need, and those who are willing to intern.
Lydia I. Pickup Memorial Scholarship – $3,500
Offered by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Lydia I. Pickup Memorial Scholarship is an annual award for female students who are interested in engineering. Each applicant must identify as female and be pursuing a degree from an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program with plans to enter or continue a career in engineering, engineering technology, or computer science. Preference is given to graduate students.
Meridith Thoms Memorial Scholarship – $3,200
Offered by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Meredith Thoms Memorial Scholarship is an annual prize for female students interested in engineering. Each applicant must identify as female and be pursuing a degree from an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program with plans to enter or continue a career in engineering, engineering technology, or computer science.
Northrop Grumman Corporation Scholarship – $5,000
Offered by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Northrop Grumman Corporation Scholarship is annually awarded to female engineering students in the United States. Applicants must be undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors, or graduate students who identify as female. They must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in pursuit of careers in engineering, engineering technology, or computer science. Applicants must be enrolled at California Institute of Technology, California State Polytechnic University Pomona, California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, Carnegie Mellon, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, George Mason University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Howard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Purdue University, San Diego State University, Stanford University, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, University of Michigan Ann Arbor, University of Southern California, University of Virginia, or Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Additionally, applicants must live in the United States and meet a minimum GPA requirement of 3.25.
Olive Lynn Salembier Memorial Reentry Scholarship – $2,000
Offered by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Olive Lynn Salembier Memorial Reentry Scholarship is an award to help women go back to school. Applicants must identify as female and have been out of the engineering workforce and out of school for a minimum of two years prior to entry. Applicants must plan to enroll in an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in pursuit of a career in engineering, engineering technology, or computer science.
Target Scholarship – Up to $5,000
Created in 2021 by Target in partnership with UNCF, the Target Scholars Program provides 1,000 need-based scholarships of up to $5,000 to first-year Black students enrolled at select HBCUs with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in technology, leadership or design. In addition to four years of academic support, the program provides mentoring, internship opportunities, networking and more throughout the winners’ college career. To qualify, applicants must identify as Black, meet a minimum GPA of 2.75, be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national or permanent resident, be an incoming freshman, plan on enrolling full-time at one of the selected HBCUs, demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in technology, leadership, or design, and have an unmet financial need.
Intel-AFCEA Scholarship – $5,000 (undergraduate), $10,000 (graduate)
Intel has partnered with AFCEA to offer an Intel-AFCEA Scholarship for STEM students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate (Master’s or PhD) degree. In addition to the scholarship funding ($5,000 for undergraduate and $10,000 for graduate), the winners have a potential opportunity for an Intel Mentor, Intel job (internship or full-time), and access to training, research, Intel architecture, networking with other Intel scholars, and more. Applicants must be: a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; a service Veteran or active-duty service member, or a “Gold Star Family Member,” a full-time student in an accredited U.S. University currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate (Master’s or PhD) degree; have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA; and be pursuing a STEM degree.
Ralph W. Shrader Graduate Diversity Scholarship – $3,000
Offered by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the Ralph W. Shrader Graduate Diversity Scholarship is annually awarded to high-performing graduate STEM students who are members of underrepresented demographics. Applicants must be women or minority students “enrolled in their second semester and at least two semester-equivalent courses per semester at an accredited college or university in the United States.” Additionally, applicants must be U.S. citizens, meet a minimum 3.5 GPA requirement, and be pursuing a “STEM/hard science” degree.
AFCEA Cyber Security Scholarship – $5,000
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) annually offers the AFCEA Cyber Security Scholarship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, be at least second-year college students enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university, be majoring in cyber security related fields, and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. Applications will be accepted starting mid-January.
AFCEA STEM Major Scholarship – $2,500
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) annually offers multiple STEM Major Scholarships. Those interested fill out one application and are automatically considered for all of the scholarships. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, be at least second-year college students enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university, be majoring in STEM fields, and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. Applications will be accepted starting mid-January.
AFCEA Student Member Scholarship – $2,500
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) annually offers the Student Member Scholarship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, be at least second-year college students enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university, be majoring in STEM fields, meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement, and hold AFCEA membership. Applications will be accepted starting mid-January.
AFCEA Undergraduate Diversity Scholarship – $3,000
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) annually offers the AFCEA Undergraduate Diversity Scholarship. Applicants must be women or minority students, be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, be at least second-year college students enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university, be majoring in STEM fields, and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. Students attending HBCUs are particularly encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted starting mid-January.
AFCEA War Veterans Scholarships – $2,500
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) annually offers multiple War Veterans Scholarships to persons on active duty in the uniformed military services and to honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel). To qualify, applicants must be currently enrolled and attending classes in an undergraduate program, part-time or full-time, in an eligible STEM major degree program at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, be a sophomore or junior at the time of application, be majoring in a STEM field, and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. The scholarship is also open to students who are actively pursuing a credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects at a U.S. elementary, middle/intermediate and high schools are eligible.
Colonel Kathleen Swacina Scholarship – $1,500
The COL Kathleen Swacina Scholarship Fund awards one female college student a $1,500 scholarship to be applied toward the student’s ongoing higher-level academic education at an accredited four-year school. Community college students in their first two years are eligible if they will continue on to an accredited four-year college or university. Applicants must be: a member of the U.S. Armed Forces or enrolled in a ROTC program, an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, or a direct descendant of an AFCEA member or an honorably discharged member of the Armed Forces; enrolled as a full-time college student at an accredited institution attending schools in or residing in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama, including community colleges; maintain a 2.8 GPA; and major in a STEM-related area of study. Each year, the scholarship has two deadlines: the spring scholarship opens in January and closes end of May and the fall scholarship opens in October and closes end of November.
AIAA Lockheed Martin Marillyn Hewson Scholarship – $10,000
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) offers the AIAA Lockheed Martin Marillyn Hewson Scholarship, which is made possible by donations from the Hewson Family Foundation and Lockheed Martin and is available to female students demonstrating financial need. Applicants must be high school seniors or undergraduate students enrolled in an aerospace-related degree program, have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale, be a U.S. citizen, identify as female, demonstrate financial need, and show interest in the aerospace defense industry.
AISES 3M Scholarship – $2,500
The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) offers various scholarships to students who are studying in a STEM field and identify as American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada. The AISES 3M Scholarship is open to incoming college freshman who fit this profile who are studying any STEM field.
AISES Aristocrat Scholarship – $5,000 (Undergraduate), $10,000 (Graduate)
The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) offers various scholarships to students who are studying in a STEM field and identify as American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada. The AISES Aristocrat/VGT Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and related fields. The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) offers various scholarships to students who are studying in a STEM field and identify as American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada. The AISES Intel Growing the Legacy Scholarship is open to high-achieving undergraduate and graduate students who fit this profile. Winners receive monetary aid, mentorship, paid internship opportunities, and the opportunity to work for Intel upon graduation.
Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship – $40,000
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship supports traditionally underserved students in their computer science education. The program offers 100 awards ranging from $5,000 up to $10,000 each, with a lifetime maximum disbursement of up to $40,000. To qualify, applicants must be a high school senior in the United States who has completed or is currently enrolled in a computer science course (or opt to take a brief assessment), be planning to attain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or a field related to computer science, be authorized to work in the United States, meet a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (or its equivalent), and demonstrate financial need.
Cargill Global Scholars Program – $5,000
Cargill, a major American food corporation based in Minnesota, runs the Cargill Global Scholars Program (CGSP), a two-year scholarship program open to students in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, and the United States. The program offers scholars financial support as well as leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking opportunities, and individual mentoring. Eligible students applying to the U.S. program must study in a field relating to Cargill’s business and be enrolled in one of the partner universities.
Truman D. Picard Scholarship – $2,500
Sponsored by the Intertribal Timber Council, Truman D. Picard Scholarships are annual awards that go to Native American and Alaska Native undergraduate students, graduate students, and graduating high school seniors who are pursuing higher education in natural resources. Applicants must be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.
DOE Computational Science Graduate Student Fellowship – $38,000
The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Student Fellowship annually provides full-tuition scholarships and career advancement opportunities to students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields that use high-performance computing to solve complex science and engineering problems. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents studying full-time towards a Ph.D. at an accredited U.S. university. Applicants should be in the physical, engineering, computer, mathematical or life sciences. Application opens in late October each year.
Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program – $10,000
Launched in 2018, the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program provides access to pathways through education and into the STEM workforce for all students, particularly those from diverse backgrounds and communities historically underrepresented in STEM fields. Each year, the STEM Scholarship Program awards $10,000 to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student. To be eligible, applicants must be: high school seniors, college freshmen or college sophomores with at least a 2.5 GPA; be a U.S. citizen; have demonstrated financial need; be currently enrolled or plan to enroll at an accredited U.S. four-year college or university; major in engineering or computer science; and have an interest in a paid internship with Lockheed Martin following their freshman, sophomore or junior year of college, other circumstances notwithstanding.
Material Handling Education Foundation Scholarship – $1,500-$6,000
The Material Handling Education Foundation offers annual scholarships to students who are pursuing logistics-related careers. Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled full-time in a material handling, logistics, or supply chain program at an accredited non-profit college or university in the United States, be enrolled for the entire academic year, and maintain a “B” GPA.
Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship – $20,000 (disbursed over 4 years), $2,500 (one-time)
Each year, Microsoft awards scholarships to Black and African American students to help them attend college and pursue careers in technology. Each applicant must be a U.S.-based high school senior of African descent, plan to attend a four-year college or university immediately following high school graduation, plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select business programs, demonstrate a passion for technology, demonstrate leadership at school or in the community, have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, and demonstrate financial need.
MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship – Up to $6,000
Offered by MPOWER Financing, which provides private student loans to international and DACA students in the United States and Canada, the MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship is awarded annually to female international/DACA students who are currently enrolled, or accepted to study, full-time in a STEM degree program at a program MPOWER supports in the United States or Canada. Three scholarships are awarded each year in the amount of $6,000 (Grand Prize), $2,000 (Runner-Up), and $1,000 (Honorable Mention). Applicants must be: at least 18 years of age; female, accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time STEM degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports for the remainder of the student’s undergraduate study and/or for a graduate degree program; and an international student allowed to legally study in the United States (including DACA) or Canada. Applicants need not be MPOWER borrowers to apply for this scholarship.
Palantir Future Scholarship (Global) – $7,000
The Palantir Future Scholarship (Global) supports and celebrates students from across the world who are beginning careers in technology. Scholarship recipients will receive a cash award and will be invited to participate in the company’s virtual professional development program, designed to prepare them to successfully launch their careers in technology. In addition, those who complete the program will be invited to interview for a Palantir internship or full-time opportunity the following year. Applicants must be an undergraduate or master’s student actively enrolled in an accredited university outside of North America during the academic years that the scholarship is awarded and upcoming academic years; be majoring in or plan to major in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical field; and not have been a Palantir scholarship recipient in the past.

Launched in 2010, the Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship — Australia supports and celebrates women who are beginning careers in technology.
