The Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship is meant for credit-bearing programs, as well as non-credit, workforce-training classes in the high-demand areas of healthcare, information technology, and industry. The scholarship is open to anyone who has either graduated from an Arkansas high school, Arkansas home school or GED program, or has a high school diploma or GED earned from another state and has lived in Arkansas for the last year. Applicants must be an Arkansas resident, be a high school graduate or received high school equivalency, and be accepted for admission in a program of study at an approved institution of higher education that leads to an associate degree or a certificate program in health care, information technology, or industry. Current recipients of the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship are not eligible for this scholarship.
Eligible Grade Levels: High School Graduate, GED, Vocational Student, College Freshman, College Sophomore
Eligible Majors: Healthcare, Information Technology, Industry
Residency Requirement: Arkansas
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
Deadline: 30 days before class start date
