Scholarship Amount

Thirty (30) scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each, supporting:

  • Students who have a strong commitment to sustainability and/or
  • Women in STEM and/or
  • Students pursuing a degree in manufacturing

Please Note – All eligible applicants may apply for the sustainability scholarship. Some applicants may also be able to apply for the Women in STEM and/or Manufacturing scholarships. However, each awardee can only receive one scholarship.

Eligible Recipients

To be eligible, applicants must be employees of Prysmian (including McKinney, TX campus) and/or their dependents or grandchildren who meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants or their parent/guardian/grandparent must have been employed by Prysmian (including McKinney, TX campus) or Encore Wire  for at least one year as of March 1, 2025; and
  • Applicants or their parent/guardian/grandparent must be employed with Prysmian (including McKinney, TX campus) at the time of the award announcement. 

All scholarships are open to high school seniors, high school graduates, and current vocational-technical, undergraduate, and graduate students who will be enrolled full-time at an accredited vocational-technical school, two-year or four-year college/university in the United States or Canada for the 2025–26 academic year.

Special Requirements:

  • The Prysmian scholarship supporting women in STEM is available to students who identify as female and are pursuing a STEM-related field.
  • The Prysmian scholarship supporting students pursuing a degree in manufacturing is available to applicants pursuing a program leading to a degree or certificate in manufacturing or a closely related field. Any program that prepares students for a career in manufacturing or related disciplines — such as advanced materials, process optimization, automation, or supply chain management — would be considered closely aligned with this scholarship.
