DEED Lineworker and Technical Education Scholarships

Amount: $2,000. About: The American Public Power Association’s Demonstration of Energy & Efficiency Developments (DEED) program provides various grants and scholarships with the aim of supporting public power research and development. The DEED Lineworker and Technical Education Scholarships are offered to high school seniors and current students at post-secondary institutions who are pursuing or planning to pursue a certificate or degree that could lead to a career at an electric utility, such as an electric lineworker or utility line technician. Applicants must be sponsored by a DEED member utility.
Eligible Grade Levels: High School Senior, College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior
Eligible Majors: Electrical Utility-related
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
