Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship

Amount: Up to $5,000. About: The National Aids Memorial offers the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship. Named for an influential AIDS educator and activist, this scholarship supports student activists working to better their communities. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for activism toward a specific cause. The program originally was intended for AIDS activists. Now, the program has opened up to activists in a variety of 21st century public health and health justice issues, including, but not limited to public health, reproductive health, racial justice, immigrant rights, LGBTQ+ equality and rights, drug policy and sentencing reform, economic justice issues, housing and homelessness, and technology innovation that supports justice work.
Eligible Grade Levels: High School Senior, College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior
Eligible Majors: All majors
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 2.5
