Offered by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Betty Jo Harker Professional Development Scholarship (formerly, Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship) is awarded to part-time graduate students who work in government with a career interest in state and local government finance. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, be studying public administration, governmental accounting, finance, economics, or business administration with specific focus on government, and be employed at least two years by one or more state or local governments.
