Amount: $2,000. About: The New York Section American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) Board of Governors Academic Achievement Scholarship is a $2,000 award intended to encourage academic excellence by recognizing contributions made by students and academicians in the water industry. Applicants must be currently enrolled as a full-time graduate student at an accredited college or university; be majoring in any subject, provided the work is directly related to the water industry; and be a New York State resident or attending school at an accredited New York State college or university. NYSAWWA will also consider an applicant’s relevant coursework and/or research in the water industry. and weigh an applicant’s extracurricular activities such as participation in student chapters of professional societies and summer work experience in the water industry.
