Amount: $5,000. About: The American Meteorological Society (AMS) offers scholarships for students interested in studying the atmospheric sciences. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are planning to pursue a degree in atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences (excluding marine biology). Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. AMS encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students, traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences.
