About: The Asian Pacific Fund offers the Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund for incoming freshmen of at least 50% Filipino heritage enrolled full-time at accredited colleges and universities in the United States. To qualify, students must study one of the following STEM fields: engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental science, or a physical science. Those pursuing degrees toward a career in health or medicine do not qualify. Applicants must also reside in one of the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Yolo, Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego.
