With a mission to empower the next generation of beauty professionals, the Beauty Changes Lives Organization annually awards over $500,000 in scholarships to beauty and wellness professionals through scholarships, as well as mentoring and entrepreneurial resources, for cosmetology, nail, massage, make-up, barber, and esthetics professionals. Each year, the organization offers multiple named scholarships for the winter, spring, summer, and fall cycle. The award amount and eligibility requirements vary with each scholarship. Applicants must apply for a scholarship that directly relates to the program they are enrolled in and for which they meet the requirements. Applicants must show proof of acceptance and/or be currently enrolled in school at the time of application. Additionally, those who seek an advanced scholarship must have a current and active license in order to apply. The scholarships are open to students enrolled in accredited cosmetology, barbering, nails, makeup, massage, and esthetics programs.
