BK Scholars Program

Amount: $1,000-$60,000. About: A flagship program of the Burger King Foundation, the BK Scholars Program offers scholarships to high school seniors and Burger King employees and their families in their pursuit of a college or post-secondary vocational/technical school education. The scholarships fall into three categories: the BURGER KINGĀ® General High School Senior Track, the BURGER KINGĀ® Employee-Based Track, and the James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship. The awards range from $1,000 to $60,000. Each scholarship category has its own eligibility requirements, but in general, applicants must reside in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Guam, and their applications are judged based on their academic record, their participation in school/community activities, their work experience, and their financial need. Each year, applications open in mid-October.

Eligible Majors: All majors
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 2.0 (High School Senior Track and Employee-Based Track), 3.5 (James W. McLamore Whopper Scholarship)
