Charlotte W. Newcombe Dissertation Fellowships

Amount: $30,000. About: Administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, Charlotte W. Newcombe Dissertation Fellowships are designed to support students pursuing “significant study of ethical or religious values in all fields of the humanities and social sciences.” Applicants must be candidates for PhD or ThD degrees in an American doctoral program at a graduate school located in the United States, have all pre-dissertation requirements fulfilled by the application deadline, be in the writing stage of the dissertation, have never held a similar national award for the final year of dissertation writing, and be in a humanities or social science department. Applications open on August 1 each year.
