The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) offers the Daedalus 88 Scholarship to students interested in aerospace engineering. Applicants must be AIAA members, have completed at least one semester of academic work at an accredited U.S. college or university, be studying to enter the field of aeronautics or astronautics, and have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. There is also the requirement that applicants “should call out their entrepreneurial spirit by describing their leadership of a student-initiated, hands-on multidisciplinary aerospace engineering project.” Additionally, applicants “must be willing to make a presentation, at a site that is mutually agreeable, on the student-led project in which they participated.” Applications open on October 1 each year.

Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 2.5
