The Dr. Julianne Malveaux Scholarship is an annual award by the NANBPWC, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of Black women in business. Applicants must be an African American female; be a college sophomore or junior enrolled in an accredited college or university; major in journalism, economic or related field (public policy, creative writing, etc.); have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale; be a U.S. citizen; complete the scholarship application form online; and submit a typed essay of no less than 500 words on the topic: “Your career plans and their relevance to the Dr. Julianne Malveaux Program Theme: “Black Women’s Hands Can Rock the World.”

Eligible Majors: Journalism, Economics, Public Policy, and Creative Writing
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
