About:
The Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship awards up to $10,000 in tuition to Nevada high school seniors who intend to attend a college or university in Nevada. To qualify, students must graduate with a Nevada high school diploma, meet a minimum 3.25 GPA (weighted or unweighted) (or earn 1070 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT), complete four units each in English and mathematics, three units in science, and three units in social science or history, and be a Nevada resident for at least two years of their high school career. Students must also be enrolled in a program of study leading to a recognized associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or pre-baccalaureate certificate, and be enrolled in at least 9 semester credits at an eligible community college or 12 semester credits at another eligible institution. Eligible students graduating from a traditional high school in Nevada do not have to apply; their names will be submitted by their high school or school district.
