Offered by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Jeffrey L. Esser Career Development Scholarship is meant to advance the public finance careers of those employed for at least three years by one or more state or local governments. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, be part-time students pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, and be studying public administration, governmental accounting, finance, or business administration with a specific focus on government.

Eligible Grade Levels: College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior

Eligible Majors: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration

Residency Requirement: No residency requirement

Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
