NAJA-AAJA Pacific Islander Journalism Scholarship

Amount: $4,500. About: The Native American Journalists Association (NAJA) and AAJA are offering two $4,500 scholarships to help offset the cost of internships, tuition, student loans, or journalism training. The NAJA-AAJA Pacific Islander Journalism Scholarship Fund, created in 2022, is intended to grow the number of Pacific Islander journalists and support their success. Scholarships are intended to help Indigenous peoples of the Pacific, particularly Polynesians, Micronesians and Melanesians, pursue careers in journalism, especially in the U.S. and U.S.-affiliated Pacific islands.
Eligible Grade Levels: High School Senior, College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior, Graduate Student
Eligible Majors: Journalism
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
