The Space Coast MIT Scholarship, funded by the generosity of donors throughout the Space Coast, is an opportunity designed to support top-performing students from Brevard County, Florida, as they pursue higher education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This scholarship aims to inspire local academic excellence by helping the brightest minds from the Space Coast achieve their full potential at one of the most esteemed institutions in the world.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Grade Level: High School Senior
- Eligible Majors: All majors
- Residency: Must be a resident of Brevard County, Florida
- Education Requirement: Must have attended a Brevard County public school for both 11th and 12th grades
- Minimum GPA: 3.5 (unweighted)
- Test Scores: Minimum SAT score of 1500 or ACT score of 34
- Application Deadline: December 31, 2024
- MIT Admission Required: Applicants must apply to MIT through Early Action (EA) and follow MIT’s EA rules. Admission deferred from EA to Regular Decision is acceptable.
Award: Up to 3 winners at $1,000 each
This scholarship is non-binding, meaning recipients are free to attend schools other than MIT even if they are awarded the scholarship.
