About:
The Walmart Foundation no longer accepts new applications for its two scholarship programs: the Walmart Associate Program and the Walmart Dependent Program. The last year for which the foundation accepted new applications was 2020. However, for students previously selected as a scholarship recipient, the Walmart Foundation will continue to honor all scholarships through the completion of their degree or for up to four years (whichever comes first), so long as the scholars continue to meet all renewal qualifications. The renewal process itself is flexible, allowing scholars to request funds anytime between February 1 and January 31 (Walmart’s fiscal year) “when it works with their institution’s schedule, up to the yearly funding cap for their chosen degree or certificate program.” To renew, scholars must simply complete an online Payment Request, upload a current transcript or grade report that shows a semester/term GPA of at least 2.0 from their most recently funded semester/term(s), and upload proof of enrollment for at least three additional credit hours in an upcoming semester/term.
Eligible Grade Levels: College Freshmen, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior
Eligible Majors: All majors
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 2.0
Deadline: January 31 (annually) for renewals only
Please note that scholarship deadlines often change, so make sure to check the scholarship sponsor’s website for up-to-date deadlines.
